Reverse Osmosis Water Purification System         Reverse Osmosis (RO) principle relies upon using pressure to force water molecules to pass through a semi-permeable membrane, while the larger molecules of impurities in the water are rejected and washed away.  The semi - permeable membrane has porosity of  0.0001 micron which  will reject even heavy metal molecules whose size are in the order of  0.001 micron ,  and  other  larger  molecules  such  as  any  micro-organisms that are complex protein molecules and organic matters.         Reverse  Osmosis  water  purification  technology  has  been  around  for  more  than  fifty  years,  mainly associated  with  desalination  plants  and  specializ ed purification  systems.   Due  to  the  progress  in  the development of synthetic material technology over the last twenty efficient, giving rise to a more widespread consumer application.         Reverse Osmosis system is regarded as the most economical method of high quality water purification, because  in comparison to distillation ,  it consumes power only  to drive a small special pump ,  a half horse power in most consumer units, while distillation requires power for total evaporating process. There are other draw backs for distillation in terms of residue removal and limitation found in natural quality drinking water.
